Blockhead Odyssey Armor Guide

Blockhead Odyssey Player Guide

Tiered Armor Crafting

Armor on Blockhead Odyssey is no longer a collection of disposable vanilla recipes. Each piece belongs to an upgrade path: begin with humble equipment, improve it with increasingly rare materials, and carry it forward into stronger forms.

Important: the usual vanilla armor recipes have been replaced. If an old recipe does not work, that is intentional. Begin with the required base armor piece and follow the Blockhead Odyssey upgrade path.

How the system works

1

Keep the previous tier

Most advanced armor is crafted from the corresponding piece in the tier immediately before it.

2

Gather the new material

Bronze, iron, gold, steel, diamonds, cobalt, tungsten, Mithril Silver, and other materials mark each stage of advancement.

3

Upgrade one piece at a time

Helmets, chestplates, leggings, and boots advance separately. You do not need to complete a full set before improving a piece.

The main armor progression

The principal advancement route begins with leather and ultimately reaches masterwork Netherite. A separate Roman-numeral badge on the inventory icon indicates a piece’s progression stage; the numeral is not part of the armor’s name.

Leather Studded Leather Bronze Iron Gilded Iron Tempered Steel Diamond Masterwork Diamond Netherite Masterwork Netherite
Upgrade Required base Primary material What changes
Studded Leather Vanilla leather piece Copper nuggets Improved durability and protection
Bronze Studded Leather Bronze ingots Sturdy, dependable metal protection
Iron Bronze Iron ingots Heavier protection and improved durability
Gilded Iron Iron Gold ingots Greater toughness; Piglins remain neutral while a piece is worn
Tempered Steel Gilded Iron Steel ingots Stronger protection, toughness, and durability
Diamond Tempered Steel Diamonds Full diamond-grade protection
Masterwork Diamond Diamond Cobalt and flawless diamonds Refined toughness and durability
Netherite Masterwork Diamond Netherite ingot and upgrade template Created at a smithing table
Masterwork Netherite Netherite Tungsten and Netherite scrap Improved toughness, durability, and knockback resistance

Specialty armor paths

Not every set belongs to the main ladder. Specialty armor offers a different advantage or identity instead of serving merely as another compulsory step toward Netherite.

Copper Armor

Copper is lightweight armor with modest protection and a mobility bonus. Each worn piece grants +1% movement speed, for up to +4% with the complete set. It is a useful alternative for travel and exploration rather than a required link in the main progression.

Gold Armor

Vanilla Gold armor remains a separate specialty set. It offers exceptional enchantability and keeps Piglins neutral while at least one piece is worn, but its low durability makes it poorly suited to prolonged frontline combat. Gold Armor is not part of the required Iron upgrade path and should not be confused with Gilded Iron.

Mithril Silver Armor

Mithril follows its own three-stage route. Vanilla chainmail becomes Mithril Silver Mail, which can then be forged into Mithril Silver Plate. Both Mithril upgrades are unbreakable and remain separate from the ordinary Bronze–Iron–Diamond–Netherite line.

Before you upgrade

Crafting-table upgrades create a new item. Enchantments, armor trims, custom names, and existing damage on the base piece are wiped. Do not upgrade a treasured piece unless you are willing to lose those alterations.
The Netherite conversion uses a smithing table. Combine a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, the corresponding Masterwork Diamond piece, and one Netherite ingot to create Netherite armor.
Armor pieces must match. A helmet upgrades into a helmet, boots into boots, and so forth. One piece cannot substitute for another.
Custom materials matter. Bronze, steel, cobalt, flawless diamonds, tungsten, silver, and Mithril Silver are distinct server materials. Vanilla substitutes will not work.

Treasures Beyond the Forge

Found Armor Sets

Some of Odyssia’s most distinctive armor cannot be produced through the ordinary tiered crafting ladder. These sets are discovered, earned, or recovered through adventures, encounters, and other server content. Their unusual properties give each set a purpose beyond simple material progression.

Prestige Set

Guardian of the Night

Forged in shadow and associated with victory over the world’s greatest terrors. The complete four-piece set grants constant Night Vision; in darkness or at night, it also provides damage reduction and immunity to the Darkness effect.

Four Pieces

Fealty Set

Armor for those whose authority is earned through loyalty, duty, and steadfast service to the realm. The Fealty Helm, Cuirass, Greaves, and Sabatons form a durable defensive set with added toughness and limited bonus health.

Industrial Set

Copperdeep Set

Heavy industrial equipment designed by Copperdeep Industries for deep-earth work and hazardous environments. Its pieces combine strong protection with specialized effects for pressure, impacts, fire, unstable terrain, and subterranean operations.

Anubis Tier I

Anubis Ritual Ensemble

Ceremonial armor recovered through the Ruined Pyramid’s trials and treasures. The Ritual Ensemble emphasizes tomb awareness, desert protection, resistance to explosive punishment, and improved movement through its Sandwalkers.

Anubis Tier II

Anubis Glorious Ensemble

The exalted second tier of the Anubis armor line. Glorious pieces strengthen the Ritual Ensemble’s dungeon-oriented protections while adding greater toughness, bonus health, improved Tomb Awareness and Desert Ward, and faster Sandwalkers.
